Group Stage
Group A: In Group A, we have Qatar, Ecuador, Senegal, and Netherlands. In this group Qatar stands no chance as they have never made a World Cup appearance in the past. Meanwhile Ecuador may not even qualify for the World Cup due to some controversy with one of their players faking Ecuadorian nationality. If Ecuador still does end up playing I think they will be able to get second in their group due to having strong players as well as having good results against strong teams like Argentina and Brazil. Meanwhile Senegal has a strong lineup and has had a strong start in the qualifiers so I think they'll be able to pull first place. Netherlands and Ecuador's race for second will be close but I believe Ecuador will take second due to the Dutch playing in a fairly weak group and having a few poor showings.
Group B: In Group B, England definitely comes out on top due to being a relatively strong team although they have had some poor defense against stronger teams, their group really isn't too strong. In second it will be a race between Iran and the US but with the US's new burst of strong young players, I believe they will be able to come on top although their youth could backfire with the lack of experience they have playing at high levels. Wales ended up being the last team that qualified but due to their rather aged set of top players I believe they will end up in last although they do still have a chance to qualify as they have had amazing games against some strong squads.
Group C: Argentina will definitely top their group being one of the stronger teams in this tournament. Saudi Arabia on the other hand will most likely come in last or possibly third. They are not a weak squad but they have been put in a tough group. Mexico and Poland fight for second but I believe Poland will take the spot due to Poland having some very good results against strong teams and Mexico has also had some poor games against stronger teams although if they don't play poorly may be able to make it through.
Group D: France, the winners of the last World Cup, will top their group for sure. Meanwhile the second teams in the group will be decided by a match between United Arab Emirates and Australia which I believe UAE will win. I think in this group second place will be between UAE and Denmark as Tunisia is a rather weak team and don't really stand a chance in this group. I do think that Denmark will probably come out on second due to their recent win against France.
Group E: In Group E, first place will be between Spain and Germany as they are powerhouses but I believe Germany will take the top of this group as Spain's defending has been poor and Germany is good at capitalizing against other team's weaknesses. Costa Rica will play New Zealand to qualify in which I think that New Zealand will lose as they are a weaker team. Costa Rica will most likely take last as although they are a pretty decent team they are the weakest of the group. Japan will probably take thirds as they are a fairly good side but were matched against some top teams. In most other groups they may have progressed further.
Group F: In Group F, the fight for first is between Belgium and Croatia both being strong contenders for the competition but I think Belgium will msot likely advance as some of the Belgian players have been having amazing performances lately. In third most likely it will be Canda but due to the recent Canadian refusal to practice due to their paycut they may end up last instead of Morocco.
Group G: In Group G, Brazil will top the group as they are in a relatively weak group. In a close second between Switzerland and Serbia, I think that Switzerland will take the place as they have been playing pretty well so far this year. Although Cameroon aren't weak I still don't think they can measure up to other teams level of skill although they are still a strong competitor.
Group H: In Group H, Portugal and Uruguay will compete for first as they are both strong nations. I do think that Portugal will come out on top but due to their team's poor coaching they may lose. Third place will be between South Korea and Ghana but I believe that South Korea will pull out on top due to their players having some very strong games.
